My Imperfections Are Perfect For Me

Many of us have a tendency to be self-critical of our imperfections; a
physical feature; an unpleasant habit; an unwise past decision. 

Whatever the perceived flaw, thinking about it negatively can often
contribute to ongoing feelings of low grade levels of stress.

  • Choose one of your “favorite” imperfections.
  • Ask yourself: “If there were a benefit to having this one imperfection in
    my life, what would it be?”
  • Now close your eyes . . . slowly breathe in . . . slowly breathe out . . .
  • After a moment, gently open your eyes and say silently to yourself . . .
